How to get

By plane
Milan Linate Airport (Enrico Forlanini Airport, IATA: LIN), Viale Enrico Forlanini, Segrate. the Milan city airport with many domestic and European flights, but not intercontinental.

By car
Foreigners who want to reach the center of Milan will necessarily first pass through the outskirts of the city. It's not as difficult to get around as it is downtown and the suburban area is also less congested. Drivers wishing to visit the center of Milan may want to consider parking their car in one of the public transport agency car parks located around the city and continue by bus or metro. The cost is a few euros, and parking in the center is both more expensive and more problematic.

By public transport
The Metro reaches the suburbs, but for many destinations the bus is the only alternative. Consult the website of the Milanese Transport Company (ATM) for routes and timetables.

What to do

1 Watch a football match at San Siro (Meazza Stadium) (terminus of tram 16 or a 10-minute walk from Lotto station, metro MM1.). Watch AC Milan or Inter Milan at the famous Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, also known as the San Siro, which is shared as the home stadium by both clubs. Tickets for most matches are available in advance or on the day of the match. The rivalry between the two teams is very heated, among the most heartfelt in Italy, and the direct championship matches, known as the Derby della Madonnina, are particularly expensive because they systematically sell out. Beware of stadium touts who sell tickets for much more than official tickets. As many as 60 matches a year are played at San Siro from the end of August until the end of May. In addition to the home games of the two teams, Meazza also regularly hosts home games of the Italian national team.
2 water sports at the Idroscalo. Practicing water sports or simply sunbathing is possible at the seaplane base. Known as the "sea of Milan", it is nothing more than an artificial lake. available sports are kayaking, canoeing, dragon boating, rowing, sailing, swimming, horse riding and water skiing. in the Idroscalo park there are also bars and nightclubs and it is used for open-air concerts. A free wifi internet connection is available. Near the seaplane base is the Europark Idroscalo Milano, an amusement park for families, open from March to September and on weekends during the rest of the year.
