This page includes several additional photos from the cameras that were recovered from Dyatlov Pass. Unfortunately even here Dyatlov Group did not escape mystification. Judging by photos the group had five cameras. Only four cameras were discovered. No one was able to explain what happened to the fifth camera.

This film was discovered in the Dyatlov Tent, but it contains only photos from different trip with a different group. There is only one picture of Kolmogorova. Let me know if you want me to post other photos.
Famous photo of the "Yeti"- Nikolai |
This photo set has several pictures from a previous trip as well as a last trip that (probably) starts with a picture of Serov, mentioned in the diary.

Unknown or scattered images from one or several cameras
Picture on the left is somewhat controversial. It was made on a day (or a day before) the group climbed the Kholat Syakhl. Some suggested that Zolotarev had a conflict encounter with Igor Dyatlov. Zolotarev stands in the center of the picture. He doesn't look too happy. Igor Dyatlov on the left looks lost. The rest of the group purposefully or accidentally turned away from these two men. It is up to you to judge if this suggestion is credible or what could possibly be the reason behind this alleged conflict.
Several pictures from the search party that were undertaken in winter and spring of 1959. Many of the pictures show smiling and happy people. Unfortunately this optimism did not last long. No one expected that 9 people with years of experience of survival in harshest Siberian conditions would perish. Even after the searchers finally discovered the tent many were certain that the tourists hid somewhere nearby. One of the participants described these events. The search party inspected the tent and removed food and alcohol for their needs. The same evening the students and professional searchers got together for a dinner. One of the students proposed the toast for the health of his friends who are probably were hiding somewhere in the forest. One of the older searchers suggested that they should probably drink for the dead rather than the living. All students immediately dropped their cups with alcohol and attempted to beat up the pessimist in their group. Other members stopped the fight with great difficulty.
This is their land. Russians never really tried to colonize or even settle in this harsh environment so natives have kept their way of life that they led for centuries. You can tell that the hunters never saw camera before and can't quiet understand what is going on. This hasn't changed much in the past 60 years. Mansi are still secluded and prefer their way life rather then civilization. Initially Mansi were viewed as possible suspects, but this idea was quickly thrown away. No one touched food of cloths of the victims.
Mansi natives and students goof around. Tent and bodies are not found yet. Dyatlov group is presumed alive and well. Mansi don't seem to mind foreigners on the allegedly "sacred mountain"
