Presnya or Presnensky District is a district in Moscow, located in
the Central Administrative District. The district corresponds to the
intracity municipal formation of the Presnensky municipal district.
On the territory of the district there are a significant number of
plants and factories (they are gradually being withdrawn from the
territory), the House of the Government of the Russian Federation, large
business complexes (Moscow City, the World Trade Center).
Previously, the
Krasnopresnensky district was one of the most industrialized areas of
Moscow. In view of the construction of the Moscow City business center
and the program for the withdrawal of enterprises from the city center,
the district is losing its industrial potential.
Created in 1991
from the Krasnopresnensky district.

of the 20th century in the forms of "international" neo-Gothic. In the
early 2000s, work was carried out in the cathedral on the installation
of a Kuhn organ (1955), donated by the Basel Lutheran Cathedral. The
organ, by the way, one of the largest in the country, was consecrated in
January 2005 and since then organ concerts with the participation of
Russian and foreign organists have been regularly held in the cathedral
(the schedule of concerts is here).

Krasnopresnenskaya embankment. Thematic exhibitions are constantly held,
although recently Crocus Expo has taken the palm.
3 Museum of Russian
Impressionism, 15 Leningradsky Prospekt, building 11 ( Belorusskaya
Dynamo Petrovsky Park). Fri–Tue 11:00–20:00, Wed–Thu 12:00–21:00.
Private museum with a small but nice collection. Since there is no
Russian impressionism in nature, more or less what the owner likes is
exhibited, but basically it is Russian art between realism and
avant-garde, the end of the 19th and the very beginning of the 20th
century. In addition, the lower floor of the building is dedicated to
quality temporary exhibitions. As a bonus, the museum is built on the
site of a former Bolshevik factory (owned by the owner of the
collection), which is now closed and turned into a loft. The surviving
buildings of the early 20th century (which you can not only enter, but
you will have to go into them if you go to the museum from Leningradsky
Prospekt) are an excellent example of pro-March architecture.

In 2011 and 2012, there was a
scandal against the demolition of a 19th-century apartment building in
Bolshoi Kozikhinsky Lane, in which the composer A. E. Varlamov lived in
1841. In July-August 2011, the demolition was accompanied by beatings of
the residents of houses No. 23 and 27, as well as defenders of the
architectural appearance of Moscow. In February 2012, among other city
defenders, People's Artist of Russia Tatyana Dogileva suffered from
