Southwest of Moscow is a part of the city from the city center to the
MKAD in the southwestern sector of the city. Most of the territory of
the South-West of Moscow is occupied by the South-Western Administrative
District (South-Western Administrative District), formed in 1991. The
administrative districts of the Southern Administrative District are
located in the South-West:
Academicheskiy
Gagarin
Zyuzino
Konkovo
Kotlovka
Lomonosovsky
Obruchevsky
Teply Stan
Cheryomushki
Yasenevo
In 2004, the population of the district
was 1188.2 thousand people (11.43% of the population of Moscow).
In addition, the following districts of the Western District of Moscow
partially belong to the Southwest:
Vernadsky Avenue
Ramenki,
in part of the Vorobyovy Gory
Troparevo-Nikulino
Vorobyovy Gory is an area in the south-west, directly adjacent to the center of Moscow. There is an observation deck and the Lomonosov Moscow State University complex.

1 The estate "Cheryomushki"
(Cheryomushki-Znamenskoye). The Wikidata element is poorly visible from
the street, there is no way to get inside.
All the facilities are quite far from the metro. The most convenient
way to get from Leninsky Prospekt or Yugo-Zapadnaya is by land transport
along Leninsky Prospekt.
2 Monument "Lenin and Krupskaya", at
the beginning of Krupskaya Street.
3 Vorontsovo Manor, Akademika
Pilyugina str., 20. Monument of landscape art of the late XVIII-early
XIX centuries. The complex is located on the territory of the former
possession of boyar Voronets (XVI century). Unique specimens of old
trees — oak, elm, linden - have been preserved in the regular part of
the park. During the Soviet era, the park was significantly destroyed,
almost all buildings of the pre-revolutionary period were destroyed. It
was restored in 2006-2007. The main cultural heritage sites in the park
are the entrance gates with a guard tower, two wings, two service
buildings, the Church of the Trinity in Vorontsov. There is also a
cascade of ponds unique to Moscow, from which the Ramenka River flows.
The cascade was completely restored in 2005-2006 by completely draining
the pond space and cleaning the bottom, strengthening the coastline. The
entrance to the park is free.

5 Church of the Archangel Michael in
Troparev, Vernadsky Ave., 90. ☎ (495) 434-50-63. The church was built in
1693-1694 on the site of an older wooden temple of the Miracle of
Archangel Michael, which existed judging by the preserved descriptions
and images back in the XIII century. At the end of the 17th century, a
stone temple began to be built on the site of the burned-down wooden
temple, which was completed by 1694. The temple was built at the expense
of the Novodevichy Monastery, which then owned the village of Troparevo.
The peculiarity of the church is the combination of traditional rural
church architecture with an atypically rich decoration of the facade of
the temple. The temple was built at the end of the XVII century, when
the church architecture was undergoing a transition from the Ukrainian
style (three-domed) to the Moscow or Naryshkin Baroque.
6 Olympic
Village , Michurinsky Prospekt. The Olympic Village was built in
1977-1980 during the preparation for the Games in Moscow to accommodate
participants of the XX Moscow Olympics in 1980. Unlike other Olympic
villages, it was originally built as a residential neighborhood of the
capital: in addition to residential buildings, schools, a polyclinic, a
concert hall, a shopping center and other household facilities were
built.
7 House No. 125 on Vernadsky Avenue. This house was chosen in
the film "The Irony of Fate, or with a light steam" as a model house at
3rd Street Builders. However, this supposedly typical house was built
according to an experimental project implemented in only three houses on
this avenue. Now in the basement of this house there is a Theater in the
Southwest. In 2003, a memorial plaque with images of Barbara Brylskaya
and Andrei Myagkov was unveiled on the wall of the house. The same house
appeared in Vittorio da Sica's film "Sunflowers" (1970), there is a
frame similar to the frames in "Irony of Fate" (corner of the house with
an entrance and a view of the Church of the Archangel Michael in
Tropareva).

8 Trinity Church in Konkov, Trade
Union St. 116. The Church of the Life—Giving Trinity (Sergius of
Radonezh) of the late 17th century, built in the Naryshkin Baroque
style, is the only building preserved from the Konkovo-Sergievskoye
estate. Later, a chapel and a bell tower were added in the classical
style, strongly out of harmony with the main building.
9 Uzkoe
Manor, Uzkoe Sanatorium (by bus No. 49 to the final stop "Uzkoe
Sanatorium", or by any bus or trolleybus to the stop "Paleontological
Museum", then one and a half kilometers on foot along the Sanatorium
Alley). The Narrow estate belonged to the family of Princes Golitsyn for
almost a hundred years. The appearance of the estate is created by
buildings built in the 1770s-1780s under the Golitsyns. Subsequent
owners only rebuilt and complemented the ensemble that had developed
under them. The manor complex has been almost completely preserved: a
former manor house with outbuildings, services, a manager's house, a
glacier, a greenhouse, a horse yard and a blacksmith shop, a church, a
park with a system of terraced ponds, three gates.
10 Kazan Church

Metro station: Novoyasenevskaya
11 The lobby of the
Novoyasenevskaya station, at the end of Novoyasenevsky Avenue.
Previously, it was supposed to transfer the Moscow zoo to the part of
the forest adjacent to the station. However, the project was not
implemented, and the eastern exit to the city (with a ground lobby)
stood closed for 20 years until the Butovskaya light metro line was
pulled up here. The ground lobby has the shape of a rotunda. It is
decorated with gray marble, decorated with animal figures (by L. L.
Berlin) and a decorative weather vane placed on the roof.
1 Darwin Museum, 57 Vavilova str. (Academic). ☎ +7 (499) 783-22-53.
Tue-Sat from 10:00 to 18:00. Adult - 400 rubles, school - 150 rubles,
children under 7 years old - free of charge. The world's first museum
dedicated to the theory of evolution. Darwin, founded in Moscow in 1907
by biologist Alexander Kots. One of the largest natural science museums
in Europe, which is deservedly popular with visitors with children. The
museum moved to the modern building on Vavilova Street only in 1995 -
now it houses more than 400,000 exhibits. The main collection of the
museum consists of stuffed animals, informational materials, animalistic
paintings and sculptures, multimedia installations located on three
floors. The exhibits are not presented separately, but form thematic
compositions showing scenes from the life of wildlife.
The first
floor is dedicated to the diversity of the animal world on Earth: it is
the most crowded – here you can see more than 500 different
representatives of fauna. On the second floor, it tells about the stages
of cognition of wildlife, the processes of microevolution – collections
of animals of the same species with minor differences from each other
are presented. One of the most interesting is the third floor with halls
dedicated to the geographical distribution of animals and the
macroevolution of the animal world – it tells about the process of the
origin of life on Earth and the emergence of modern man, presents a rich
collection of animals from all corners of the globe. Given that the main
audience of the museum consists of visitors with children, few people
reach the third floor, so on days of mass visits, it is better to start
inspecting the expositions from top to bottom. On the ground floor there
is a cafe-dining room where you can eat inexpensively without leaving
the museum, and after resting, continue further inspection. In addition
to the main building, there is an exhibition building where, for a
separate price, you can visit thematic interactive exhibitions aimed
mainly at a children's audience.
