Neftekamsk (Tat., Bashk. Neftekama) is a city in Russia, in the north-west of Bashkiria. Population 131,000 people, the fourth city in the republic in terms of population after Ufa, Sterlitamak and Salavat. City is located in the Cis-Urals, on the left bank of the Kama River (8 km from it).

Public Mosque "Light of Faith"
Public Mosque "Light of Faith" (beginning: Public Mosque "Light of Faith") is an Islamic temple (public mosque) located in the village of Neftekama, Bashkortostan. The Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia is run by the local Muslim religious organization "130th Parish in Neftekam" as part of the Neftekamsk Khanate. Imam-ahun - Sabirzhan Hazrat Salimgareev, son of Akhmetgarey.

 

History

Until the local Muslim religious organization built a mosque, Friday prayers were held in Kasevo. It took place on Vorobiev Street, 53 in the village. The mistress of this house was Mrs. Samira Gainanova (born in 1909 in the village of Menzala Oyaz, Stary Semiostrov).

In 1991, there was not a single mosque in Neftekam and the Kyzyl-Kam region.

Even after registration, the local religious organization of Muslims acts with the beginning of the construction of the mosque. With the approval of the mayor of the city, Salavat Kormanov, a land plot was allocated next to the former Kometa cinema.

In 1992, the Muslim community of the city unanimously elected Sabirzhan Salimgareev, the son of Akhmetgarey, who retired from the post of process engineer of the 5th oil field of the Arlanneft Oil and Gas Production Department, as Imam-Khatib. Sabirzhan Khazrat Salimgaraev graduated from the Islamic University of Russia.

The building of the mosque, the ablution hall and the dwelling house for the Imam-Khatib were built by the employees of the Novator Youth Center (engineer A. Yamaletdinov, architect R. Gizdullina). R. Sharipov made an estimate for the construction part of the mosque, L. Zaitseva is building it. B. The team of the Bashzhilkommunproekt workshop, under the leadership of Solonko, performs engineering networks, as well as the design of earthworks on the territory, and the creation of a general estimate.

In 1993, the foundation stone of the mosque was laid. The construction of the mosque was carried out by SU-4 and the BNPS trust.

The Neftekam Public Mosque was built in 1995. A brick building in the style of a classical mosque, without a dome, a high minaret several stories above the entrance. Accommodates 400 people.

The technical school of mechanical engineering moved from its hostel, and the Light of Faith madrasah is also under the same roof as the mosque. In 2014, a separate madrasah building and a prayer hall for women were built.

Neftekamsk akhon UDN unites Novosylsky, Kaltasinsky, Kyzyl-Kamsky districts and Muslims of the city of Neftekam. From 1992 to 2020, 32 mosques have been built and are successfully operating in the Kyzyl-Kamsky, Kaltasinsky, Novozhovylsky districts.

History of Neftekamsk

The history of Neftekama begins in 1947 with the discovery of oil in well No. 3, located near the Mari village of Arlan in the Kyzyl-Kama region. In 1957, near the village of Kachau, the construction of an oilmen's town began.

A large and powerful subdivision of the Bashneft association, the Arlanneft department, has been created. In addition to houses for oil workers, social facilities appear, such as a pharmacy, a school, a kindergarten, a bathhouse, and a cinema. Neftekama is a working settlement located along the Kama River. In 1959, the rapidly growing residential area was given the status of a workers' settlement, and in 1963, the status of a city. During this period, two large factories were built here - artificial leather and an automobile factory.

In connection with the increase in oil production, there is a problem of energy supply to the industry, which has been growing for fifty years. Thus, a decision was made to build a reservoir and a new power plant, and in the sixties the construction of the Karman hydroelectric power station began. Today, Karmanskaya GRES is one of the largest power plants not only in Bashkortostan, but also in Russia, providing energy for half of the republic and neighboring regions.

 

Climate

Neftekamsk is located in the north-forest-steppe subzone of the temperate zone. The climate is continental, summers are warm, winters are moderately cold (the lowest recorded temperature is the winter of 1962 -52 °C) The average temperature in January is -13.7 °C, the maximum is -22.8 °C; July +19.3 °C, maximum +42.3 °C. The average annual air temperature is +3.2 °C. The average rainfall is 577 mm.

Until 2006, the Kyzylkamsk regional newspaper "Kamskiye Tannary" was a joint publication with "Neftekama", but after that the city authorities stopped cooperation with the Tatar publication.

The editorial office of the republican newspaper "Cholman" in the Mari language is located in Neftekam. It is published once a month, with a circulation of 3900 copies.

 

Industry

Neftekama produces industrial products worth 40 billion rubles a year. Of these, only 7% is accounted for by oil producers: Bashneft-Geostroy LLC NUBR, Arlan UES LLC, Arlanneft LLC Bashneft-Dobycha.

The economic state of the city is determined by the Neftekama automobile plant, which is part of the KamAZ group. JSC "Nefaz" produces 30% of buses in Russia and 40% of the fleet of liquid vehicles. In 2010, NefAZ accounted for 14% of the production in the city, and in 2012, if the city's organizations produced products worth 38.5 billion rubles, then NefAZ accounted for 26% of them. It employs more than eleven thousand people. The NefAZ company is one of the leaders in Russia in the production of high-class passenger buses, tanks and trailers, time buses, and autonomous vehicles.

Society "Factory of artificial leather" also has its place in the market. Also, a significant contribution to the development of the city is made by the products of the Neftekamsk oil industry, the Neftekamsk machine-building plant, the Amya Timber Plant society, the Neftekamsk leather and haberdashery factory.

Karmanskaya GRES produces half of the republic's electricity. It is the largest manufacturer in the city, accounting for 42% of production.

The Neftekama oilfield equipment plant employs 1,400 people.

Transport

The length of internal roads of Neftekama is 256 km. The highways Ufa-Nozhovyl, Samar-Ufa (Neftekamsk-Dyurtoyl-Buzdak) pass through Neftekamsk. The Neftekama-Novivil railway network connects the city with the Gorky railway.

Neftekamsk Airport, located 6 km from the city center, is currently not in use and does not operate passenger flights.

 

Education

There are 22 schools in the city, including the Bashkortostan Gymnasium and the Physics and Mathematics Lyceum. In the 2010-11 school year, 14,950 children attended school.

 

Higher education institutions

A branch of the Bashkortostan State University, opened in 2000, offers higher education. There are currently 3,000 students studying here.

The second most important educational institution is the branch of the Ufa Aviation University. 8 representative offices of other universities, 5 branches.

 

Culture

Since 1991, the international song contest "Mountain of Friendship" of Tatar and Bashkir performers has been held. Every year (every 4 years in 2013-2017) a competition is held and every year the owners of talents from many regions take part in it. Amateur performers aged 16 to 35 and first-year students of music schools participate. In 2017, the famous singer Farida Kudasheva was nominated for the Friendship Hill international song contest.

There is a group of Tatar artists in the city philharmonic society.
