The history of Novotroitsk goes back to the beginning
of the XX century. A small farm called Silnov was lost in the
steppe. Not far from it were the same farms Akkermanovsky,
Beloshapochny and the village of Khabarnoe (from khabar - news,
news).
Several families of peasants - immigrants from Ukraine
settled near Silnov and named their settlement Novotroitsk.
1930s - the time of large industrial new buildings.
The
residents of the village of Novotroitsk heard news about the
construction of factories in Orsk, about the discovery of minerals.
The famous geologist, academician AE Fersman, in his writings
spoke about the fabulous riches of the Orsk region, called the
Orsko-Khalilovsky region "the true pearl of the Urals."
In
the fall of 1929, geologist I. L. Rudnitsky discovers the
Khalilovskoye brown iron ore deposit. Khalilovskaya ore turned out
to be rare in its composition: it contained chromium, nickel,
titanium, manganese. Industrial tests have confirmed its quality.
In June 1931, the Government decided to start building a large
metallurgical plant on the basis of Khalilov ores and Karaganda
coals. Tight construction deadlines were set, and the launch of the
Khalilovsk Metallurgical Plant was scheduled for 1936. During this
period, the first builders began to come to the village of
Novotroitsk. In 1935, construction was suspended, and only in the
spring of 1939, in the resolution of the 18th Party Congress, it was
specifically defined: "... to start the construction of new
metallurgical plants (at the Khalilovsky and Bakal ores)."
In
the summer of 1939, a resolution was adopted by the collegium of the
People's Commissariat of Ferrous Metallurgy, which noted: "To accept
the selected Novotroitsk site for the construction of the
Khalilovsky Metallurgical Plant ...".
On January 15, 1941,
Novotroitsk was transferred to the category of workers' settlements
and transferred from the Khalilovsky district to the subordination
of the Orsk City Council.
On April 13, 1945 Novotroitsk
